With the Lanka Premier League (LPL) being held successfully, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is now planning to host a national T10 league in February next year. The tournament which is named “Lanka T10 Super League” will be played soon after England tour of Sri Lanka which is scheduled in January.

With the Lanka Premier League (LPL) being held successfully, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is now planning to host a national T10 league in February next year. The tournament which is named “Lanka T10 Super League” will be played soon after England tour of Sri Lanka which is scheduled in January.
The dates have been fixed for February 1-15. The SLC has already called for tenders over event rights. However, the Executive Committee on Friday granted one more week for interest parties to submit their expression of interest.
The details of the tournament are yet to be finalised but the board is confident of conducting it in February.
Here are the perforced format and dates of the tournament:
Her is the proposed dates for the 2021 Tournament and the Format:
- 1st of February to 15 of February 2021
- 17 or 29 Games, T10 Format, Over 11 Match Days under a Double Round Robin Format plus 2 Semi-Finals and a Final
- Total of 8 Teams, and each team to feature a Squad of a total of 16 Players [including a maximum of 6 International Players from ICC's Full/Associate Member Countries] together with a Support Staff of 10 personnel including 2 overseas Coaches

The matches are expected to be played at R. Premadasa, Dambulla and Pallekele international cricket stadiums.
