During the cabinet press conference, joint Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Bandula Gunawardena announced that Importing motor vehicles and luxury goods have been completely prohibited.
However, he said that importers can import non-essential items such as items needed by industries if they can reach terms with suppliers to pay them after 6 months.
