10% WHT relief: Self declaration accepted without TIN – IRD
⭕ 🇱🇰 IRD waives TIN requirement for WHT exemption filings due to surge in requests.
⭕ Anyone earning under Rs. 1.8M annually can file a self declaration and request banks to stop WHT deductions without a TIN. (Previously, TIN was mandatory.)
⭕ Valid only for submissions made in April 2025.
⭕ IRD will issue TINs to eligible filers next month.
