📱 TRCSL to Ban Non-Registered Mobile Devices from Local Networks Effective January 29, 2025 🇱🇰

Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 will enforce an International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) registration system starting January 29, 2025, to curb the use of unregistered devices.

⭕ All mobile phones, tablets, and SIM-enabled devices must have a TRCSL-approved IMEI.

⭕ Non-registered devices will be blocked from all local networks after the deadline.

⭕ Devices already connected to local networks before January 28, 2025, will not be affected.

⭕ Travelers importing or carrying devices into the country must register them through an online clearance system, which will require approvals from TRCSL, Sri Lanka Customs, and other government bodies.
