🚢 India 🇮🇳- Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 Ferry Service Resumes
⭕ The Nagapattinam 🇮🇳 to Kankesanthurai 🇱🇰 ferry service restarted on August 16, 2024, after multiple delays since its initial launch in October 2023.
⭕ Ferry "Sivagangai" completed its first trip in 4 hours with 50 passengers, it offers 160 seats (133 ordinary, 27 premium).
⭕ Ticket prices: LKR ~16,500 (INR 5,000) for economy & ~LKR 26,250 (INR 7,500) for premium.
⭕ India 🇮🇳 supports the service with LKR 25M/month for operating costs.
