🚀 Sri Lanka Customs has granted Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Tier I status to 31 companies guaranteeing them, faster goods clearance, reduced documentation, and fewer physical examinations.

⭕️To qualify for AEO status, companies must meet strict eligibility criteria and compliance requirements set by Sri Lanka Customs, in accordance with the World Customs Organization's (@WCO_OMD) SAFE Framework of Standards.

⭕️The AEO is a global initiative & the AEO Status considered as prestigious in international trade. It is the premier trade facilitation initiative by the World Customs Org, and is implemented in over 80 countries, including the EU 🇪🇺 and the US 🇺🇸 (C-TPAT).

⭕️If Sri Lanka Customs maintains the standards set by World Customs for 🇱🇰 companies in Sri Lanka's AEO program, it opens up the potential for Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) with other countries, allowing reciprocal benefits for AEO-certified Sri Lankan businesses internationally.
