The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has refused approval for the 484 MW wind power plants in Mannar & Pooneryn, planned by Adani Green Energy SL Ltd.

Here's why:

⭕ CEB failed to provide a full draft PPA to PUCSL.

⭕ Missing schedules of draft PPA & MoU with India.

⭕ No clearance from Attorney General's Dept post-Cabinet approval.

⭕ Lack of data on "plant factor" justification for both locations.

⭕ Missing details on 400kV transmission line from Kilinochchi to Habarana.

⭕ Environmental impact assessment (EIA) results not submitted.
