⚠️ #FloodAlert: Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 brace for a 2017-level flood, as the flood stations in both Kelani & Kalu Ganga are now reporting the highest water levels since May 2017.

⭕ These water levels are a result of the rain received last night and early this morning. It could get even worse since both Kalu and Kelani rivers' water catchment areas are still getting heavy showers.

⭕In 2017, on May 18-19, severe flooding and landslides affected 15 districts in Sri Lanka, killing at least 224 people, leaving 78 missing, and displacing over 698,000 people.
