A perfect Instagrammable shot isn't worth your life

⭕ A foreign passenger has tragically died after being struck by a tunnel wall while hanging out of a moving train near tunnel No. 19 between Nanuoya and Idalgashinna.

⭕ Tourists hanging out of moving train doors on the Colombo-Badulla/Ella train ride is a major safety concern. This is not the only recent accident of this nature.

⭕ There are 46 tunnels along the main line between Colombo and Badulla. These tunnels are extremely narrow – a momentary lapse of focus for that perfect photo could be deadly.
(P.S. If you absolutely must capture a moment, consider snapping a picture when the train is stationary, though even this can be risky.)
