⭕ Sri Lankan racing driver Yevan David, 19, will join Dutch outfit Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR) for his second FIA Formula 3 season, moving from AIX Racing.

⭕ A promising upgrade: VAR finished 5th in the 2026 F3 Team Championship with 168 points, establishing itself as a competitive midfield team. The move offers David a stronger platform to fight for consistent points and podiums.

⭕ A team with F1 pedigree: Founded in 1975, VAR helped develop future Formula 1 stars Max Verstappen (2014) and Charles Leclerc (2015) during their early single-seater careers.

⭕ David made history in 2026 as Sri Lanka's first FIA Formula 3 driver, finishing his rookie season in 18th place with 35 points, including a second-place finish in the Silverstone Sprint Race.
