Dialog offers are nonsense

  • This shows how the companies closest to us are treating our own people during such a difficult and devastating time. I think this alone is enough to make switching to Starlink worth it in every way..

  • What is the use of free data when you don't have proper coverage in the first place? Ask Dialog Axiata to give proper network to make phone calls first! #DialogTheWorst

  • Slt mobitel fre call in fixed line in flood area's how can this possible

  • Stability of network signal and Reliability of provider are critical as it may not be matter of cost issue; why free data..! Plus still that too after dialing and SMS certain number in a certain way; certain providers have conditions like maximum time limit during this emergency crisis. Meantime, "It would not be right to profit from misfortune." - Elon (StarLink)

  • There's no point of free data if there's no connectivity. A proper backup power for the signal towers must be prioritized.

  • Instead of providing 10GB data please provide some sort of coverage. Government providing emergency contact numbers but how to contact. It is advisable to provide emergency coverage

  • During floods, cyclones, and heavy storms, telecommunication networks become a lifeline. We rely on them for emergency alerts, rescue coordination, and staying connected with our loved ones. But when tower sites lose power and backup systems fail, entire regions can go offline within minutes. This raises a critical question: Are telecom operators investing enough in long-lasting power backup? Why Strong Power Backup Is Essential 1. Keeps communication alive during emergencies it's helps save lives, coordinate evacuations, and deliver urgent alerts. 2. Prevents network congestion When one tower fails, the surrounding towers overload and eventually crash. 3. Supports all digital services Banking, emergency hotlines, navigation, and public alerts all depend on stable connectivity. 4. Speeds up disaster recovery If towers stay powered, restoring services becomes faster, easier, and less costly. Telecom Operators Must Invest In High-capacity backup batteries (LiFePO₄ / AGM) Diesel generators with adequate fuel reserves Hybrid solar + battery systems for remote sites Automatic failover systems for seamless power switching In disaster-prone areas, every tower should have at least 8–12 hours of power backup. Stop Unnecessary Spending. Start Investing in Reliability. Some operators still spend heavily on: Luxury corporate events Branding campaigns with little customer benefit Large sponsorships that don’t improve network quality Meanwhile, the critical infrastructure that keeps the nation connected remains underfunded. Power backup is not a luxury it is a national safety requirement. Telecom operators must prioritize tower resilience and long-duration power backup systems. When disaster strikes, every second of connectivity matters. Reliable power backup doesn’t just keep networks running it protects live.
